FAQ

Q.With a duplex type, it cannot be used to switch cocks or it is difficult to understand how to switch cocks.

A.

The following is an explanation of the upper and lower handle type and cam lever handle type.

Upper and lower handle type

  1. Turn the upper handle to the left.
Turn cock lift handle one or two revolutions in the counterclockwise (CCW) direction.
Since there is a gap at the beginning, check the rise of the shaft part.
  2. Switch the lower handle to the opposite side.
Turn the cock handle until it hits the stopper.
The tank on the side where the new cock handle is moved to is in use.
  3. Turn the upper handle to the right direction.
Turn the cock lift handle one or two revolutions until it is hard in the clockwise(CW) direction.
Tightening is sufficient by hand. Do not use a hammer or similar gear.

Cam lever handle type

  1. Push the cam lever (cock handle) downward.
The cock is raised by the cam which is provided on the lever.
  2. Leave the depressed state, turn to the other side until hit the stopper.
The tank on the side where the cam lever is moved to is in use.
  3. The switching is complete if you take off your hand.
With spring inside the body, the cock is in close contact with the body naturally and becomes the normal in use state.

Q.Is a special tool necessary to tighten the cover holder bolt that fixes the strainer in place?

A.

Regarding the one-touch cover holder bolts for H-type, duplex, and simplex oil strainers and small can water strainers, in which the covers are secured with a single bolt, standard hexagonal bolts are used for the bolts, and it is sufficient to tighten the bolts by hand using a wrench or spanner that can tighten the bolt. (An O-ring is used for the seal, and it is sufficient that the body and cover are in contact.)

As reference, an example of the tightening method for each cover holder bolt nominal diameter is shown below.

※As a rule of thumb, tighten the bolts until they don’t move.
